Providing clean drinking water to every resident in the city of Oneida is one of our city government’s most important services. Up-to-date water mains, sewer pipes, and wastewater treatment plants are critical to protect our lakes, rivers, and drinking water from contaminants that could make people sick.
That’s why I introduced two resolutions in the Oneida Common Council calling on Gov. Cuomo and the state Legislature to increase water infrastructure funding in this year’s state budget. The resolutions passed unanimously.

Some of the new resolutions state that landlords who have more than the legal limit of people living in a unit will receive a penalty for each additional occupant over the limit.”

She said there are already people driving who are undocumented, and this measure is intended to make sure they get a license that verifies their identity and knowledge of road safety rules. The license would not be valid for federal purposes such as international travel.
