Ana Maria Archila, the Queens woman who confronted Senator Jeff Flake in an elevator on Capitol Hill during the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, will join Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the State of the Union tomorrow. Members of Congress get to bring one person each to the address, and these guests are often chosen because they represent an issue important to legislators; Archila is a longtime community organizer, outspoken sexual-assault survivor, and the co–executive director of the Center for Popular Democracy Action (not to mention a constituent of Ocasio-Cortez’s district).
