The Senate just confirmed Dr. Mehmet Oz—and it’s a disaster for public health and for our communities.

Dr. Oz has spent years pushing junk science and profiting off medical misinformation. Now, he’s been handed the power to shape health policy. This isn’t just bad politics—it’s a direct threat to the health and safety of Black, brown, immigrant, disabled, and working-class people who already face the greatest barriers to care.

This confirmation will deepen health disparities, erode trust in science, and put lives at risk—all to serve the interests of corporate greed over community care.
