New Economic Justice Project (NEJOP)

The New Economic Justice Organizing Project is a strategic evolution from Step Up Louisiana, carrying forward the economic justice work and the Organizer in Training (OIT) program with 13 staff and a core group of members to be more vigorous in this issue area, expand statewide, and train thousands of organizers capable of transforming the economy of Louisiana. NEJOP exists to support Black and working-class people in building durable, statewide economic power through workplace organizing, civic engagement, leadership development, and rigorous base-building infrastructure.
