Make the Road Connecticut
Make the Road Connecticut works to support immigrants to be active in their communities and to lift themselves out of poverty through legal and support services, civic engagement, transformative education and policy innovation.
In our first year of operation we have:
- Convened a series of successful community meetings that brought together community members to learn about important issues in our community for immigrants and working people
- Launched an important fight to ensure fair work schedules for workers
Our current projects involve:
- Youth organizing with a focus on know your rights education.
- Fair Workweek worker outreach and organizing.
- Support of a city id in Bridgeport CT.
