The Organize Florida Education Fund is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that both trains and develops leaders and organizes families in low-to moderate-income communities in Florida. Our vision is for these communities to become critically engaged in the political system in order to create a more just and equitable society.


Organize Florida and Organize Florida Education Fund seek a highly motivated, talented, and dynamic individual to serve as the Resource Development Coordinator, Grants. Reporting to the Vice President of Resource Development, the Resource Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Resource Development department in several tasks, including - grant writing and proposals, reporting on organizational activities, researching potential funding opportunities, maintaining a strong donor database, and assisting the Vice President of Resource Development on multiple projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Vice President of Resource Development in managing current and potential grants.

  • Track organizational activities for grant deliverables.

  • Assist with grant proposals and reports.

  • Create project budgets.

  • Organize and maintain all grant-related paperwork & files.

  • Research funding opportunities.

  • Maintain donor database.

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to develop and produce grants and other proposals.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyze information, and to devise and develop statistical analyses and reports.

  • Knowledge of current developments/trends in the area of social justice.

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.

  • Database management skills.

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

  • Ability to provide advice and information to staff in area of expertise.

  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.

  • Familiarity with project management including budgeting.
